HEMNAI Centre for Health and Development Initiatives (HEMNAI) is a community-focused organization committed to improving health, livelihoods, and social wellbeing among vulnerable populations in Uganda. The organization evolved from St. Joseph Health Centre Nakabango, a community-based initiative established in Jinja District to address pressing health and social challenges affecting underserved communities.

Today, HEMNAI operates as a broader development initiative that integrates health services, social empowerment, environmental protection, and economic resilience to support sustainable community development. The organization works with communities, government institutions, civil society organizations, and international partners to create inclusive and lasting solutions to social and public health challenges.

HEMNAI is driven by the belief that healthy communities are the foundation for sustainable development, and that every individual deserves access to healthcare, dignity, and opportunities for growth.
